I was so sadden when i heard "Ms. Mac" was gone. I lived beside her with my granny and paw paw (Ann & Ulyess Lewis) for many many years. Ms. Mac was like a grandma to me and she and Mr. AD looked out for me at all times. She would keep us kids in line and she would speak whatever was on her mind. I will truly miss "Ms. Mac" and seeing her in her garden, taking her daily walk outside around her house, and sitting on the porch. Ms Maxine was truly a sweet heart and i love her with all my heart. My prayers are with you family and i love you all!!!

I'd never met Mrs. Stanley. only her son Wozell and wife Alinka. But I could tell that he was raised in the right order, since being in Star City, I've found him to be one of the friendliest people I've ever met. The Lawson Family of Star City prays God's blessing to continue with you and family!

Parnell, Jewel, and all members of Maxine's family.... Maxine has been a big part of our family for many years, having worked for our mother for I'm sure over 20 years. I remember David as a child called her "Magazine" because he couldn't pronounce Maxine :) It was obvious how much all of her children adored her, just as she loved all of you. Just know that all the Stephenson and Dearman families are with you at this sad time for you. Sending our love....

My heart goes out to the Stanley family. Ms. Maxine was a beautiful woman on the inside as well as the outside. A very strong-willed woman who was determined to do for herself no matter what it took to do it. I had the utmost respect and love for her. Now she can walk with her back straight, and her head held high without stumbling. Farewell my friend!!
