Pamela Joy Grist Meadows, 88 passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born August 26, 1924 in Bulford England to the late Fredrick E. and Florence Smith Grist.

She was the widow of William Claude Meadows, a homemaker and member of First Christian Church in Alvin, TX. She loved her church and loved singing in the choir. She was most happy when she was in her kitchen cooking for her family and friends. Joy was a chorus girl entertaining the British Troops during World War II. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Grist and Michael Grist.

Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela Webb and husband, Ronald of Watertown, CT and Penny Rosegrant and husband, Robert of Monticello; five grandchildren, Tracy Lindsey and husband Kevin of Monticello, Nicola Erpelding and husband, Douglas of Parker, CO, Michael Rosegrant and wife, Holly of Monticello, January Giudice and husband, James of Newington, CT, Aryn Clarke and husband, James of Charlton, MA; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
