Shannon confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Alford Branch. She was educated in the Monticello Public School System.
Shannon had a bubbly personality and always kept a smile on her face. There was never a dull moment when Shannon was around. When she wasn't spending time with family and friends, whom she loved dearly, she enjoyed the scenery of her hometown.
Shannon departed this life too soon on August 25, 2014. Preceded in death by her father, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Ray Davis; a nephew, Norvell Jackson; and her grandparents, Ulyss and Hiawatha Davis and James and Willie Bell Block.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two beautiful daughters, Nadriona and Na'shantia Girtman, both of Monticello, AR; a handsome son, Nortavian Girtman, of Monticello, AR; a loving and dedicated mother, Florence Jackson of Monticello, AR; her lovebug, Korey Harrell of Monticello, AR; eight loving siblings, Dorothy (Kenny) Matthews of Willis, TX, Luther (Leslie) Jackson of Dumas, AR, Laron Jackson and Calvin (Kim) Jackson, both of Cleveland, TX, Norvell Jackson of Menifee, AR, Cynthia (Angel) Andrade of Monticello, AR, John Block of Milwaukee, WI, and Richard Block of Monticello, AR; a special aunt, Linda Block of Monticello, AR; a special niece, Santresa Jackson of Menifee, AR; day one, ride or die, Kristy Davis-Whitaker of Monticello, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
