He was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired paramedic with Pickford Ambulance Service out of Hope and a member of Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ardell Williams and Ethel Melton Bennett and his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Wilma Olger Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Pritchard of Crossett; his father and mother, Billy and Sue Bennett of Monticello; one son, Mark Bennett of Monticello; two daughters, Rebecca Bennett and Hannah Bennett both of Hot Springs; one stepson, Travis Drye of Rison; one stepdaughter, Lesley Drye of Rison and several aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday, December 12 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel; burial with Military Honors at Union Cemetery in Rye. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday night at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
