He was owner/operator of Burton's Welding, a United States Air Force Veteran of Vietnam and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Esther Jones Burton of Monticello; two sons, Matthew Burton and wife Crystal of El Dorado and Nick Burton and wife Assa of Calgary, Canada; one brother, Troy Burton and wife Peggy of Monticello; one grandson, Sawyer Burton of Calgary, Canada; three granddaughters, Bethany Burton of Hot Springs, Ashlyn Cook and Alexis Cook, both of El Dorado; three nephews, Jeremy Burton of Monticello, Keith Burton of Searcy and Isaac Combs of Washington D. C.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, December 27 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
