He was a retired mechanic from Burlington Industries and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, JoAnn Barnett Marter; two daughters, Andrea Marter Proffitt and husband Jesse of Benton and Jada Rayford of Monticello; his son, Arron Barnett and wife, Lana of Hawaii; his parents, Buddy and Ruby Marter of Collins; two sisters, Patricia Morris and husband Carl of West Monroe, LA and Melissa England and husband Ronald of Osceola; one granddaughter, Gavinee Marter of Benton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 26 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Rash Cemetery. Visitation will be on hour prior to service time. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
