    My dear friend, Joe,

May you rest in peace. While you will be missed, I'm glad you no longer have to deal with the frustration you've experienced since your accident.

You were kindness and generosity, lifting low spirits with hope, faith, and music.

I'm so happy you can now be reunited with your beloved wife, younger brother, Tommy, and your parents that you spoke so highly of.

Thank you for being the older brother I never had. Your wise council and advice have served me well.

You will always be remembered and sorely missed, although I selfishly wish we could have had a bit more time with you. The world could use a few more kindly gentlemen here upon this earth.

    With sincerity,
    sharlene
