She was a missionary and member of First Baptist Church of Monticello. Jamie played all sports and was UAM Boll Weevil's greatest fan. She was a ball girl for all sports at UAM and actually went ten years without missing a UAM Cotton Blossom Softball game. She was also a professional doorkeeper at all types of functions. She was a member of the MBSF and BCM. Jamie was loved by all and had a real heart for those she came in contact with.
Survivors include her mother and step father, Donna and Randy Mizell of Gould; two brothers, Jonathan Collins and wife Ladonna and Joey Ferguson all of Gould; one sister, Angela Britt and fiancé Jeremy Maddox of Bismark; her grandmother, Flosteen Collins of Monticello; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel by Rev. Rob Leonard with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. My wife and I lost two adult sons in years past, and we miss them, but trust them to God’s providence.
