Herbert A. White, 95, of Monticello passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at home. He was born September 20, 1920, in Possum Valley, AR. He was a loving husband and father. Family was very important, and he loved to spend time with all of them, from the oldest to the youngest. He also loved to whistle and sing and listen to gospel music with family and friends. He always enjoyed a good Razorback game.

He was a Veteran of WWII serving as Lt. JG in the United States Navy and nine years in the Navy Reserve, a retired teacher and administrator, and a faithful member of First United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Levi Preston White and Amy Pearl Baker White. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jean Alice Niggel White, three sisters, Vera Paschal, Eva Mae Eubanks, and Louise Judkins, four brothers, Clyde, Virgil, Guy and Travis (TV) White, one great-grandson, Dustin Ray Ferguson, and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Milosevich.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Pace and husband Paul of Monticello, Pat Milosevich and husband Steve of Lewisville, TX, and Pam Wells and husband Kevin of Elko, NV. Four grandsons, Paul Pace, Jr. and wife Christy, Michael Milosevich and wife Jigna, Mark Milosevich and wife Stephanie, and Ray Ferguson and wife Tina. Four granddaughters, Amy Pace Bower and husband John of Sarasota,FL, Tessa Palmer and husband Pete of San Diego, CA, Taylor Jun of Denver, CO, and Becca Ferguson Gober and husband Shiloh of Monticello. Six great-grandsons, Blake, Andrew, Daniel, and Jacob Pace; and Levi and Sameer Milosevich. Great-granddaughters Vivian Bower, and Cortana and Inara Jun.

Funeral service will be 1:00 Monday, January 11 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will follow in 16th Section Cemetery in Wilmar. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 Sunday, January 10, at the funeral home. Online guestbook: www.stephensondearman.com
