She was the caregiver to her husband Dub for many years until his death in 1971. She worked for Burlington Industries for thirteen years until her retirement in 1985. She was a life-long member of Green Hill United Methodist Church where she taught the children's Sunday School class for many years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Derwood (Dub) McClain, one sister, Geneva Stephenson Piper, and five brothers, Jack, Olyn, Walter Jr., Winfred, and Thomas Stephenson.
Fay Wright is survived by her daughter, Kay Worbington and husband Kenny; her son, Phillip McClain; two granddaughters, Melanie Worbington Calhoun and husband Buddy Joe, and Heather Worbington Lowe and husband Tillman; two great-grandchildren, Jarrett Hartness and Alexandria Lowe; one step-daughter, Brenda Pearson and husband Allen; two step-grandchildren, Keith Pearson and Kerry Dickerson and three step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five loving sisters, Janice Adcock, Elouise Hayes, Nina Austin, Irma Jean Trantham and Laura Joan McKinstry; three sisters-in-law, Maxine McClain Yingling, Polly McClain Stell, and June Montgomery Stephenson; many nieces and nephews who she adored; and one life-long friend, Louise Pace Barnes.
Mamaw Fay, as her grandchildren called her, touched the heart and soul of everyone who met her. No one left her house with an empty stomach, without getting a hug, and without hearing her say "I love you."
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 25, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.

Little Rock, AR Tuesday, January 26, 2016 Kay and Phil; I have so many fond memories of our childhood years in Green Hill playing Tarzan on the bag swing. And so many of those memories include fun times with Uncle Dub and Aunt Fay Wright. I can't remember a time that she didn't have a smile on her face. Kenny talked about her feeding everyone. For me; after you moved to "town", every time I came to visit she had my favorite cheese and made me cheese toast. And I can still hear her laugh about the dead horse. She made everyone's life a little brighter and she will be greatly missed.Debbie Hyatt
