Asheville, NC Friday, February 19, 2016 To the family of Wilbur Biggs. I enjoyed working with Wilbur in the mid-to-late 90's at the National Climatic Data Center. His booming voice made his presence known. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. It was a pleasure to know him. Prayers to your family for peace and comfort as you mourn his passing. Requiescat in pace, Wilbur.sharon Capps-Hill
Swannanoa, NC Friday, February 19, 2016 I worked with Wilbur for many a year here at NCDC (now NCEI) in Asheville NC.He played Santa at one of the local department stores one year when my children was small. Prearranged by Wilbur and myself, I took the children to see Santa (Wilbur) at that store. He told them all kinds of stuff about themselves that no one would know but family and they believed that Wilbur was the real Santa that year. Yes, they were on Santa's good list.
Wilbur will be missed!

Hamburg, AR Tuesday, February 16, 2016 Just learned of Wilburs death and am so shocked and sorry. We lived in the Mist community East of town growing up and rode the school bus together. He stopped by our home a few years ago after we became friends on Facebook and picked up some shrubs we had dug up. He was certainly a nice guy and we send our love, prayers and sympathy to his family.Randy Lay
