Tanya Lynn McCarty Squires, age 58 of Pine Bluff, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Davis Life Care Center in Pine Bluff. She was born July 18, 1957 in Ukiah, CA to Thomas McCarty and the late Aleta Grice McCarty.

She was a 1975 graduate of Drew Central High School, graduated from LPN School having worked at the England Nursing Home, Oak Park in Pine Bluff and Prison Diagnostic Clinic in Pine Bluff. Tanya was a United States Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Beverly McCarty; one niece, Brandie Elliott; her paternal grandparents, Oscar and Gertie Brown McCarty; and her maternal grandparents, Nolen Grice and Louise Hammaker Grice.

Survivors include her husband, John Thomas Squires of Pine Bluff; one son, Chris Squires and wife Kassie of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Tabitha Wiggins and husband Bubba of Harker Heights, TX; two stepsons, Daniel Perkins and wife Jessica and Johnny Perkins and wife Ashley both of Benton; her father, Thomas McCarty of the Valley Community; three sisters, Teresa Howell of Pine Bluff, Pamela Allison and husband Tim of Fountain Hill and Susan Potts and husband Gary of Monticello; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
