Sister Rosie Grays, 89 of Lacey, AR passed away March 31, 2016 at Belleview Nursing and Rehab in Monticello, AR. She was born on March 17, 1927 in Longview, AR to the late Porter Washington and Lou Withers Washington.

Sister Grays accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Pellum Africian Methodist Episcopal Church. She was an active member until her health failed her. Later she became a member of Promise Land Baptist Church. She was an active member until her health failed her.

She is the sole survivor of thirteen children, and was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Grays, two sons, two grandchildren and her parents.
She leaves to her memory one daughter, Shirley (Earnest) Patterson of Los Angeles, CA; one son, Edward (Linda) Grays of Fountain Hill, AR; three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at House of Prayer in Fountain Hill with burial following in Lacey Cemetery. Arrangements were by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
