I served in the armed forces.
Freddie Sue Crowell Broadnax was born on July 21, 1956 to the late Charles (BR) and Effie Crowell in Monticello, AR. Sue departed this life and went with the Lord on April 2, 2016. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Stranger's Rest AME Church in Plantersville, AR. Sue was an avid church attendee wherever she resided. Upon her demise, she attended The Word Church under the leadership of Pastor Daryl Daniels.

She was a 1976 graduate of Drew Central High School and Shorter College in Little Rock, AR. She was also a member of the United States Army and the Arkansas National Guard. She was currently employed with the Warren Police Department in Warren, AR as a dispatcher and was also a caregiver in the private sector.
She was loved by many from coast to coast, a stranger to no one and always willing to help anyone at anyone at any time. Compassion was one of her greatest assets. She extended her heart and soul to everyone she met. So many young people she loved and loved her called her "Aunt Sue". To list them would be impossible. She was a "Social Butterfly".

She was preceded in death in death by her parents, Charles and Effie Crowell and brother, Willard Crowell.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memories, two sisters, Jackie (Bobbie) Ferrell and Sandra Crowell both of Monticello; a step-sister, Vera Rhodes Nur (Abul) of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers, Charles Crowell of Atlanta, GA and Lavell Crowell of Little Rock, AR; a special friend, Talton Toatley of Monticello, AR and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  12. Carolyn Morgan & Family
To Sandy, Jackie, Charles, Lavell, and Family,

I would like to THANK you all for sharing Sue with me and my family.
I will miss our many talks, laughs, and cries. We have so many great
memories I can recall, but I specifically remember our multiple trips to Walmart.
When Sue lived right around the corner from me, we would
go shopping EVERYDAY. I'm pretty sure in our minds we were millionaires. I know now...it was DEFINITELY in OUR Minds. But although we didn't have a ton of money, we still managed to walk out of the store with something.

I will miss you my sweet angel! I pray you watch over all of us! Until we meet again, I will love you forever and I pray you rest on....

    Love,
    Carolyn
  13. "Queenie"
My Sue!!! I was her "Queenie". She gave me this name when I was a small child and this is all she called me. We had a cousin relationship beyond measures when I was a teenager/younger lady I will never forget. I am so glad that I had an opportunity to give her the turnip bottoms she was craving. I will truly miss you and thanks for your comforting spirit... Much Love, Queenie!!
