Dr. Timothy David Chase, age 53 of Monticello, went to be with his Lord Friday, April 15, 2016. He was born November 24, 1962 in Monticello, AR to the late David Lee Chase, Jr. and Mary Agnes Bailey Chase.

Tim, as he was affectionately known, was very involved in his community, church and dental association. He was a 1981 graduate of Monticello High School, a 1985 honor graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee in 1989. He has been in dental practice in Monticello since 1991.

His professional affiliations include member of the International College of Dentists, American Dental Association, former President of the Southeast District Dental Society, board member of the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners, former President of the Arkansas State Dental Association, Medicaid Task Force, alternate delegate to the ADA Annual Session, and a charter board member of the Arkansas Mission of Mercy where he was the Local Coordinator.

Tim was currently a sitting Monticello City Council Alderman elected in 2004 and was involved in many other community activities including being an active member of the First Baptist Church, former little league baseball coach, Chamber of Commerce board member, Industrial Development Committee member, past Monticello Girls Softball Association coach, board member of the Monticello Schools Foundation, member and past-president of the Monticello Rotary Club. Tim was an avid Monticello Billie, UAM Boll Weevil and Arkansas Razorback fan.

Other than his civic and professional involvement, his greatest love was his family. In addition to being a wonderful husband to Paige, Tim always sacrificed his time for his two daughters, Summer and Madisyn. He never missed a softball game, dance recital, piano recital, swim meet or gymnastics meet and was always ready to give his time to support his girls.

Survivors include his wife, Leslie Paige Maxwell Chase of Monticello; and two daughters, Summer Elizabeth Chase and Madisyn Olivia Chase both of Monticello.

Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Venable officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. I was so saddened when my mom called with the news that Tim had passed, I know there's nothing I can say that will make the pain go away. Just stay strong in your faith, knowing you will be together again one day. To lighten the mood I'm going to tell you something funny Tim did to my brother & I when we were kids. They had that RR track that ran behind their house years ago and he told us if you put your ear on the track you can hear the train coming. Well of course we had to try it and he just started laughing, we heard no train but, we had grease from the train tracks all over our ears & neck and we got in trouble. That was Tim for ya, and you have an awesome angel watching over you now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls. Love you Cuz

    Paige and family,
So very sad to hear of Dr. Chase's passing. He worked wonders with Jeff - probably the only reason he had the nerve to get his teeth fixed was because of the kindness and understanding he received from Dr. Chase and everyone in the office. Prayers for comfort and peace during this hard time. He was a remarkable guy - he will be missed by his family, but he will also be missed by Monticello and the whole community.
  32. Robin and Devyn Young
    Paige and family,
May God give you strength during this time and the days to come. You and the girls are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Devyn and I were talking yesterday, and we agree that Dr. Chase will always be "our dentist" because no one can replace him. We practically felt like we were visiting family when we were there! We will miss him.

Dr. Chase has been my dentist since before we moved to Monticello in 1998. I had the utmost faith in his ability and integrity. Monticello will certainly miss this civic-minded gentleman who wanted to make our/his town the best it could be. I enjoyed getting to know him and Paige through my dental visits and will miss him very much. My heart hurts for Paige, Summer, Madisyn, and his mom. But, I know he’s with his Heavenly Father and is now in perfect health. God bless you all with peace and comfort through the Father’s love, friends, and family.

Sorry for your loss. Remember that God is the one that give us the strength to get through time like these. Think of it like this Jesus compared death to sleep as it state in John 11:11-14. There is hope that we are going to get to see our loved ones again John 5:28,29. This is the promise that God has made to us, in Isaiah 46:9-11, what he says he is going to do, He will fulfill, and if God said he is going to resurrect our loved one and live on this earth for ever he will do it, Psalms 37:9-11. Our prayers go out to The Chase Family.

  54. Dr Terri Eubanks
So saddened by Dr. Tim's illness and early passing.....at the height of his career. Seems like yesterday, when he and Joe Miles came to visit with me during my 1st year of private practice. They had both been accepted to dental school and were eager to learn all they could before heading off to Memphis for 4 hard years of dental education. God Bless us all as dentist!!!!....., for one can never know or understand the struggle and sacrifice unless one actually experiences it. Prayers for Paige.... You were a valuable asset and cherished partner. Peace and comfort for Madison and Summer.... Be proud...only a select few can proclaim "My Dad was a Dentist."
