She retired from School Apparel in Star City where she worked for many years. Mrs. Kellum was the last surviving Charter member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church where she served faithfully as the Women's Ministry Leader for many years. She was honored as "Mother of the Year" in 2009. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Doyle Crain; a sister, Pauline Whitaker; and a son-in-law, Harrell Rhodes, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Norman Lee "Donnie" Kellum of Monticello; three precious daughters, Regina Rhodes, Gayle Brown and husband Bobby all of Monticello and Michelle Lay and husband Randy of Garrett Bridge; a sister, Betty Jean Pittman of La Habra, CA; a brother, Carl Crain of Olive Branch, MS; two special grandchildren, Brandt Landry Brown and Lillian Lay; and one great-granddaughter, Landree Kate.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Oak Grove Assembly of God Church with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
