He was a retired College Professor of Chemistry at UAM and a United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Tompkins Pearson.
Survivors include his son, Ronald K. Pearson of West Hartford, CT; one daughter, Debra C. Thomas of Montello, NV; three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.

Heber Springs, AR Monday, June 20, 2016 Dr Pearson just came to my mind tonight, so I googled his name to see what he was up to these days. Sadly, I see he just recently passed away. He was a fantastic chemistry teacher. I've been teaching high school chemistry for years and I have always tried to follow his example. They were very sweet to her, bringing her things which they grew in their garden. They would also sometime bring her homemade goodies, especially at Christmas time.
