Miss Barta will be missed. She and mother had lots of good times making dolls together. I have a painting she made for me hanging in my kitchen. She was a talented lady and was good to my mother. She always said mother was going to retire and take care of her when she got old. I know they are having a good time together now.

To Ms Barta's dear family, How can I describe her other than the fact that people were drawn to her when they met her. Lovely smile and contagious laugh were just room filling. She was my mother's friend while my dad was away during WWII, so I grew up hearing about Barta and her dear friendship to mother. After my mother passed away My dad honored their friendship by calling Ms Barta to check on her and visiting her at her grandson Chris' home. When I worked at the medical clinic she went to she always loved on me because I'm her friend's child and delighted in telling stories about them. So sad to say goodbye, but knowing she is in the presence of her Lord is comforting. My parents are Elvin and Roberta Bates.

Mrs. Barta was a delightful lady and could always leave you with a smile. I have known her all of my life. She and my Mother were charter members of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Barta liked to call me the charter baby because I was the only baby in the church for a short while .

I will never forget her kindness to my parents when my mother became disabled. Mrs. Barta was not able to leave her home much but she would bake things and call me to come by and get the dish and take it to my parents. I always enjoyed my visits with her while there.
Long time friends are such a treasure.
Love and prayers for all of you.

She was my Mother's best friend growing up and was with her when she gave birth to me. I will miss her story of the night I was born, Aunt Barta could make any story funny. I loved her and glad I was able to see her last April. We have lost a "Earthly treasure" but heaven has gained one. I pray God will be with the family as they celebrate her life. Loving memories.
