He was employed with Burlington Industries for many years until his health failed. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Gardner. He attended Wilmar High School and at an early age he accepted Christ under Pastor Reather Phillips, Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Cheryl Crosby Gardner of Wilmar; son, LaQuan Gardner of Benton, AR; three daughters, Takedra Gardner of Oklahoma City, OK, Kierra and Cierra Gardner both of Wilmar; his father, Winston Gardner of Pine Bluff; mother-in-law, Mildred Crosby of Warren, AR; two brothers, Namon Gardner, Sr. of Wilmar, AR and Michael Gardner of Mississippi; two sister, Mahavis (Keith) Fletcher of Pine Bluff, Ar and Rozene Ederington of Warren, AR; a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be Saturday, June 2, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wilmar Cemetery. Online guest book at www.stephenson-dearman.com
