Jim was such a wonderful man. I’m truly heart broken. We had been friends for years but, lost touch over the past few. My heart goes out to you all.
  2. Bob Banks
Jim was a high school classmate and we attended the Uniiv. Ark. for some time He was one my closest friends for most of those years and through the midi-sixities. We lost touch for several years and then discovered, via email, around the turn of the century that we lived only a few blocks apart.. We never made the time and I only discovered with his obit that he was no longer in Cordova. I feel a great sense of loss. I doubt I've ever had a more loyal and dependable friend.

Jimmy was a dear high school classmate at Hot Springs High School Class of 1960. I am so sorry that none of us knew of his passing until today. We would have paid our respects and hugged his family. I have such sweet memories of all of us who dated basketball players and ran around together. Jimmy was such a good friend and his loss seems so hard to take because we lost another member of our"Trojan" family. May the good memories help you as you grieve your loss.

Dear Family and loved ones of Jim Magness. I send prayers and my deepest condolences to you. I met Jim in Nashville in the late 90's he has always been a true friend, never hesitating to help or give that extra push when no one else would. He was with me through the hospice and passing of my Mom in 2000 and went to her funeral with me. He shared wisdom and taught me what matters most in life. I have never known a better person. I am so sorry for your loss.
I felt a despair that I had not heard from him in quite some time. Hoping he would finally relax and enjoy his retirement, he never slowed down much.
I know he lived for his family and cherished you all so very much.
    With much love,
    Joy and Faith Evelyn Rollins

I was sad to read of Jim Magness passing.
I enjoyed being his teammate on the Arkansas basketball team in the 60's and living in Wilson Sharp House with other Razorback athletes.
