Alfred Corbin, Jr. age 93 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born August 9, 1923 in Fall River, MA to the late Alfred Corbin, Sr. and Wilhemina Duval Corbin.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a self-employed cabinet maker for Majestic Cabinet Company and a member of the United Pentecostal Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Corbin and step daughter, Janet Myhand.

Survivors include one sister, Doris Corbin Frankowicz of Fall River, MA; one step-grandson, Dennis Myhand and wife Kathy of Victoria, TX; his chosen family of choice, Rev. David and Carolyn "Howell" Doyle of Monticello, Rev. John and Pat Howell of Little Rock and Kathy "Howell" Smith of Monticello; his grandchildren by choice, Robbye and Duke Eyman (Dakota), Jay and Jennifer Jones (Jordan and Joseph), Angela and Shawn Gray, Lyndie and David Johnston (Dailyn and Joshua), Rev. Keith and Suzi Green (Haley, Macey, Sadie and Kip), Jonathan and Rebecca Jones (Jacob, Ian, Kaden and Mason), Jeanne and Freddy Hipp (Jeremy, Justin, Jaydon and Eric and son Jaxon Garcia).

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with military honors at the chapel. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning prior to the funeral service. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
