In 1959, the family moved to Monticello. James was a 1963 graduate of Drew High School of Monticello. He married Geraldine Franklin on October 6, 1964. To this union were born three daughters.
James accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He became a member of First Baptist Church where he faithfully served as vice president and member of the senior choir.
Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by; one daughter, Yvonne Lynnell Bealer; two sisters, Virginia and Lee Anner Bealer; and one special aunt, Rosetta Bealer-Avery.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Geraldean Franklin-Bealer of 52 year of union; two daughters, Karen Dorine Bealer of North Little Rock, AR, and Wanda Bealer of Monticello, AR; two grandsons, Donzamon R. Bealer of Stafford, VA, and DeNarius R. Daniels of Monticello, AR; two granddaughters,Tandra R. Bealer and DeVonta R. Crowell of Little Rock, AR; four great grandsons, Donzamon R. and Dontrell R. Bealer, both of Las Vegas, NV, Iyan Daniels of Dermott, AR, and Josiah Lewis of Little Rock, AR; two great granddaughters, Shayanna Kapua and Serenity Bealer of Stafford, VA; one sister, Pearlene Bealer of Monticello, AR; one sisters-in-law, Kathy (Lee Drew) Franklin-Walton of Monticello, AR; two brothers-in-law, Charles (Tanya) Franklin, III of Monticello, AR, and Greg Fulford of Little Rock, AR; a special cousin, Chester Bell of Monticello, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
