He was a retired truck driver for Townsend Trucking and MonArk Boat Company, cutting horse trainer, a United States Marine Veteran of Korea and a member of Overcoming Faith Worship Center in Star City. He enjoyed riding and training cutting horses and was a loving husband, dad, brother, grandfather, uncle and most importantly, loved the Lord. He was a very kind and loving man.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maxine Ahrens Howard of Star City; one son, Ricky Howard and wife Ruby of Star City; one sister, Pollyanna Gardner of Little Rock; three grandsons, Carlton Kent Howard and wife Emily and Matthew Ryan Howard, both of Monticello and Ryan Dolls of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Kelly Livingston of Little Rock; two great-grandsons, Hunter Howard and Caidyn Howard both of Monticello; one great-granddaughter, Kentleigh Howard of Monticello; one aunt, Ginna Williams of Tillar; two nieces, Alesa Dare of Little Rock and Shanon Gardner of Arkadelphia, AR.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7 at Overcoming Faith Worship Center in Star City. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
