She was the widow of John William Haynes, a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the daughter of the late W. A. Higgins and Artie Lemons Higgins and was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Alexander Higgins, one grandson, Joshua William Haynes and one granddaughter, Terri Denise Skillen.
Survivors include three sons, Lee Bates of Tulsa, OK, Wayne Haynes, Sr. of Pine Bluff and James Haynes of Fair Grove, MO; four daughters, Floy Harper of Whitehall, AR, Edith Severns of East End, AR, Marie Navarro of Portland, AR and Barbara Shinn of Conway; five brothers, James Higgins and Jerry Higgins, both of Monticello, George Higgins of Ladelle, AR, Clay Higgins of Bethesda, MD and Fred Higgins of Delhi, LA; four sisters, Leathel Losh of Bolivar, MO, Mary Lloyd of Monticello, Grace Watts of Truman, AR and Irish Bush of North Little Rock, AR; twenty five grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
