Marrianne worked for the Department of Human Services as an adoption specialist for the State of Arkansas. Through this, she was involved in the lives of countless children whom she found homes for. We who knew her best, will remember her for the love and happiness she shared with her daughter, Jessica. God was gracious in the answering of her prayer that she would live to see Jessica grow up.
Marrianne was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a musician and vocalist. She was loved by her church, whom she considered to be her extended family. She was the daughter of the late Norwood Havis Temple and Willie Mae Sowders Temple.
Survivors include her husband, Randy; one daughter, Jessica and two sons, Brandon and wife Ashley and Benjamin, all of Monticello; her sisters, Kathy Hamaker and Linda Wilson and husband, Ronald; one brother, Billy Edwards Temple and wife, Barbara.

Monticello, AR Monday, March 29, 2010 My prayers go out to the family; you have nothing to be sad about with this special God sent lady. As a minister of the Gospel, she was sent to do a work, and then return to be with the Lord. When I first heard the news I was having a conversation with a neighbor, and he ask me did I know Mrs. Cruce, and that she had passed away. I asked him was he serious, and he said yes. Mrs. Marrianne Cruce touch me more ways that one. She was instrumental in buliding my family to where it is today. I adopted 3 beautiful children under her supervision; she came around my home a lot and advised us on their case and etc.. If it had not been for her, I would have never got a chance to get the children I have today. People come and go each and every day; we all got to die one day. This special lady did a work that no one else I know did; she left a legacy. She changed and influence lives all over the world. Someody could have been on the brink of giving up, but by her sweet spirit, that person is doing wonderful. I believe we all should be like her and care for one another with patience, love and kindness. Mrs. Cruce is resting from this troublesome world, and holding the hand of Jesus in heaven smiling down watching the beautiful legacy she has left for us to hold on to. God bless the family; be encouraged and be uplifted!!!!Cecilia Caine

grady, AR Wednesday, March 24, 2010 Dear Randy, Jessica, Brandon and Benji: I love each of you so much. I cannot begin to tell you how broken I am about losing Marianne. What an extraordinary person. She touched every life that was blessed enough to meet her. Two of these people are my son and me. In 1997, she helped me adopt Christian. Each time I look at my son I will see Marianne. Without her, I would not have become his mom. Marianne & I were buddies from the age of 18. We shared blind, double dates, sang in each other's weddings and were together at Jessica's birth and Christian's birth adoption. Had the time of our lives. Again, I'm sorry for your loss. I pray God's peace will sustain you. Marianne, if you can read this from heaven my final message is as follows: I love you, sissy. Have a great time in heaven, but dont' forget to look for me. One day I will be there, too.NAN CARTER

Little Rock, AR Monday, March 22, 2010 Marrianne was God's angel on earth. I got to know her when I started working with the Adoptions Unit in Central Office three years ago. She and I made an instant connection as we both grew up in Warren and had worked helping children and famlies. She had a kind word for everyone and knew her job so well. She helped so many of the new Adoption Specialists learn their jobs without bringing any favor to herself. She will be missed by many famlies and children whose lives she touched. May God bless all of Marrianne's family and give each of you God's peace that passes all understanding. I am better for having known her!.Ms. Chris Dean - Adoption Support Specialist

I had the priviledge of meeting her earlier this year and her passion for the children of Arkansas was so apparent in the way she talked about them and how much she loved being a part of putting new families together. What a wonderful spirit she had and I was happier having known her even for such a short time. She will be missed by her own family and friends but also by the children and families of Arkansas whom she had touched in her work and I am sorry for those who will not have her specialness in their lives. Rison, AR Saturday, March 20, 2010 Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.Mary Ann was such a blessing in our lives. She helped us complete our family by choosing us to be the parents of 3 beautiful children to go along with our other 2 children. Just think of how many other lives she has blessed through her dedication in her work, of how many children now have homes that would still be living in foster care if not for her.
It was also obvious by talking with her how much she loved her family.
She will truly be missed.
