Monticello, AR Monday, April 26, 2010 Mr. Mac was "one of a kind". He was my very first boss back in the 70's and I learned lots of important lessons from working for him in those early years. He loved his God, his family and his business. He loved to work hard and accomplish something at the end of the day. He had a work ethic to be envied. And he had marvelous penmanship (something he was very proud of)- a trait he tried to teach me but to no avail. May the Lord comfort you with His Love in your loss of "Mr. Mac"Julia Waddle

Arkadelphia, AR Friday, April 23, 2010 Mike and Family,Linda and I send our thoughts and prayers upon the death of Uncle Maurice. I was blessed growing up to have known my grandma Calhoun's brothers and sister including your dad. My dad loved his McKeown relatives and visited them often. I recall visits to OK Sales as a kid. In recent years I always tried to drop by and see Uncle Maurice when I was in Monticello. I saw him just a couple of weeks ago right after my mom died. As was his custom, he wrote and mailed me a note after my visit. He was a special person who had a long fruitful life. I am thankful that he did not linger long at the end.
God Bless You,
James Calhoun

Monticello, AR Thursday, April 22, 2010 Mike & Shirley, I am sorry for your loss. I guess I have known Mr. McKeown all my life. I have fond memories of him from when I was a child. My dad and I would visit OK Sales. Once in the mid-50's, Mr. Mack gave me an old stove to put in my playhouse. I would make mud pies and pretend to bake them in "my stove".He was a nice man!
