Juanita Smith Marks, age 91 of Cabot, formerly of Pine Bluff and Monticello, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at Spring Creek Living Center surrounded by children and grandchildren. She was born July 8, 1927, in Dermott, AR to the late Homer Smith and Madie Yateman Smith.

She was a retired accountant for the City of Pine Bluff Sanitation Department and a long time Baptist Church worshiper. She also sold real estate and did land development for Marks Land and Realty which she and her husband owned. Mrs. Juanita and her husband enjoyed fishing and camping at Lake Ouachita, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and they were her life. Her favorite saying was," This too shall pass". In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James Smith; and a son-in-law, Larry Stephens.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Jack Marks of Cabot; three daughters, Pat Stephens of Cleveland, OK, Barbara Childs and husband David of Searcy and Julie Cearley and husband Wilbur of Sherwood; one sister, Delma Thompson and husband Dick of Pittsburg, KS; twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
