Dorothy Thornhill, age 89 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 surrounded by her family at home. She was born August 26, 1929 in Kelso, AR to the late Henry Lee Moore, Sr. and Victoria Davis Moore.

She was the widow of Whitt Thornhill, a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Dorothy has served as a faithful greeter at Oak Grove for the past ten years, a position she took very seriously. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Lee Moore, Jr., William Moore, Jeff Moore, Billy Moore and Johnny Moore.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickey Haycox and husband Buddy of Monticello; one son, Tommey Thornhill of Monticello; six grandchildren, Sonny Thornhill and wife Desiree, Shane Thornhill, Michael Len Wood, Michael Anthony Haycox and wife Amber, Matt Wood and wife Christina, and Jayme Stallman; great-grandchildren, Lane, Maddie, Wyatt, Bella, Carson and Khloe Wood, Abby Haycox, Lexie Gill, David Tankersley, Gianna, Nicolette, Soelee and Shana Thornhill, Klara and A.J. Stallman; and Dr. Jeff Reinhart, who she thought of as a grandson.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Oak Grove Assembly of God Church with burial to follow in Union Ridge Cemetery.
