He was a retired welder from F & F Boat Company and was of the United Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Willie Mae Wisinger and Joy Elizabeth Higgs; and one brother, John Boyd.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mackie "Teet" Hood Boyd of Star City; one son, Thomas Darwin Boyd, Jr. and wife Glenda of Monticello; one daughter, Linda Boyd Wright of Jackson Gap, AL; one grandson, Allen Douglas Wright, Jr. of Scottsboro, AL: two granddaughters, Michelle Wright of Jackson Gap, AL and Lauren Boyd Henry and husband Jonathan of Mt. Home; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Martin Arnold Boyd and wife Sherry of Durant, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Holly Springs Cemetery in Star City. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
