She was a retired retail store manager and was a member of Green Meadow Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Doyel (Pete) Clampit and one sister, Evelyn Faye Carpenter. She enjoyed shopping and was a full time caregiver for her disabled daughter, Carla.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Wheeler of Pine Bluff; four children, Greg Clampit and wife Betty of White Hall, Karen Worthen and Carla Thurman both of Pine Bluff and Ricky Thurman and wife Tina of Quitman; one brother, Wayne Graves of Hamburg; one sister, Willene Carpenter of Hamburg; two step-children, Donald Wheeler, Jr. of Monticello and Angie Harris of Warren; six grandchildren, Christopher Clampit, Derek Hensley, Tiffany Worthen, Desi-Ray Thurman, Hunter Thurman and Ethan Thurman; two great grandchildren, Lynnlei Reagan and Jullian Hensley; two step grandchildren, Ethan Harris and Jonathan Harris; and one step great grandchild.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service time. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
