Kacie graduated from Drew Central in 2007 as valedictorian. Kacie went on to further her education earning a bachelor of science in biology from UAM. She continued on to UAMS where she earned a doctorate of pharmacy in 2015. During her studies at UAM, she met and fell in love with KC. They wed on April 22, 2017.
Kacie was employed as Director of Pharmacy at Drew Memorial. She was a black belt in Ishynru Karate where she practiced under the leadership of Rickie Arendale for over 20 years. Kacie's passions were reading, running, baking cupcakes, Halloween, and Lady Gaga.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Peggy Barnard Clough Schiesser and Charles Clough; step-grandfather, Carroll Stewart and father-in-law, C. C. Gage.
Kacie is survived by her husband, K.C. Gage of Monticello, AR, her mother, Karen Stewart and step father Keith of Monticello, AR, her father, Shane Barnett of Lacey; one sister, Kristina Gaona and her husband Patrick of Houston, TX, one step sister Frankie Tillman of White Hall, AR, three brothers, Brady Barnett and wife Kayla, Eddie Barnett and Jace Barnett all of Monticello, AR, grandparents, Dink and Carol Barnett of the Green Hill community, step grandmothers, Janice Stewart, of Monticello, AR, Pat Clough of Plaquemine, LA, step grandfather, Jack Schiesser, of Monticello, AR, her mother in law, Karen Gage, of Monticello, AR, as well as a numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her family would like you to know, her battle has been won and she is in the arms of Jesus.
Kacie's viewing will be from 1:00 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2020 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello, AR. We ask that you follow Covid-19 protocol and no more than 10 people at a time in the visitation room and you keep the CDC recommended 6 foot distance from each other. There will not be a guestbook so please visit our website www.stephensondearman.com to leave your memories and condolences.

I have so many memories with her from school - asking her for advice on what to wear to a cowboy chili cookoff, eating cupcakes and that one Christmas where we used too much craft glue in a small apartment. She always had a smile on her face and was one of the people in my life where I felt I could be my true self. She wouldn't judge you and be there for you. I always enjoyed it when she would be at the house and we could stay up talking for hours. It is a relief to know she was strong in her faith and that she is in heaven without pain. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers and know that not a single Halloween will go by without me thinking about Kacie and her love of that holiday.
