Peggy Eubanks Goodwin, age 90 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Belleview Estates Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. She was born July 13, 1929, in Drew County, AR to the late Clara Eubanks and was also preceded in death by husbands, Sonny Kalb and Van Goodwin; first cousins, Jerry Eubanks and Raymond Lewis Beck; and a second cousin, David Eubanks.

She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monticello. She was a 1947 graduate of Monticello High School before obtaining her B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from Arkansas A&M University (now UAM). Mrs. Peggy loved to entertain family and friends, especially on holidays and special occasions. She was an excellent cook who would spend hours preparing the perfect meal for her guests. She loved her coffee and being around children. Anybody that knew her knows that she was a sharp dresser with hair and nails always immaculate. She also loved to travel and go shopping however, her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her first cousins, Eddie Eubanks and wife Leona of the Valley community and Sue Hickam of Monticello; her second cousins, Von Eubanks and wife Terri of Missouri, Cindy Dearman and husband Chuck of Monticello, Kim Eubanks of the Valley community, Mark Eubanks and wife Barbie of the Valley community, Darren Eubanks and wife Janine of the Valley community, Jeff Eubanks and wife Brenda of Magnolia, Tammy Fulgam and husband Donald of Itta Bena, MS, Clark Hickam and wife Sharon of Monticello and Stacy Belgard and husband Jimmy of Deville, LA; along with numerous third and fourth cousins, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Peggy's family would like to issue a special "thank you" to the management and staff of Grand Manor Assisted Living for the excellent care given to her and for giving her joy and laughter in her later years. Also to the staff of Belleview Nursing Home for the quality care given to her and last, but certainly not least, to her wonderful caregivers who were at her beckoned call, Arlisha, Pam, Vernell, Kim and Sharon. May God bless each of you.
