He retired as a station attendant from the Arkansas Highway Department, a United States Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors enjoying gardening, hunting and fishing. Alongside with his wife, they raised almost everything they ate. He was a hard worker, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; his daughter, Elizabeth McGee Burr; and one grandson, T. A. Cornish.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mildred Boyd McGee of Star City; one son, O. Z. McGee, Jr. and wife Beth of Star City; one daughter, Mary Cornish and husband Tommy of Warren; one grandson, Josh McGee and wife Erin; three granddaughters, Courtney Wallace and husband Jonathan, Maggie McGee and Brandi Smith and husband Wade; and three great-grandchildren, Cohen, Chloe and Sabrina, and a great great grandson Noah.
Due to Covid-19, a private family graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Long Pine Family Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
