She was the widow of George Karnes, a retired office manager at Davis Forestry for 20 plus years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Stuart; and one sister, Virginia Rose.
Survivors include three sons, Chuck Karnes and wife Roxanne of Monticello, Mark Karnes and wife Catherine of Arkadelphia and Steve Karnes of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Megan Karnes, Sarah Pearce and husband Blain, Heather Landers and husband Chris, Bart Russell and wife Hayley, Kyle Russell and wife LeAnn, Kandice Karnes and Ashley Vaughn and husband Michael; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family viewing will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020, at Karnes Cemetery in West Fork, AR.
