He was retired from Sysco of Arkansas and was a member of First Baptist Church. David's hobbies included traveling, camping, hunting, fishing but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Cooper; and a sister, Carolana Whitaker.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Carmical of Monticello; three sons, Doug Carmical of Monticello, Wesley Carmical and wife Lindsey of White Hall and Daniel Carmical of Longview, TX; two daughters, Jennifer Taylor and husband Aaron of Battle Creek, MI and Ashley Taylor and husband Jesse of Monticello; and grandchildren, Hunter, Alora, Brook, Kelsey, Kade, Morgan, Jake, Weston, Liam and Susanna, one brother, Allen Carmical and wife Kim of Van Buren, and one sister, Sallie Carmical Nix and husband Tim of Hope.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Manees Family Cemetery in Monticello with Rev. Tim Nix officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home following COVID-19 guidelines with no more than 50 people allowed in the facility.
