Jewell Faye Jordan Gladden Hargis was born October 26, 1925 in Drew County Arkansas to Rev. Jack Earl Jordan, Sr. and Maude Boone Jordan. She went to be with her Lord Jesus June 8, 2020 at age 94. She was the widow of Delton Herbert Gladden who was the father of her children and William Cleo "Bill" Hargis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands, Delton Gladden and "Bill" Hargis, her daughter, Susan Ann Gladden Herring, son Gerald Wayne Gladden, daughter in law, Gay Youngblood Gladden and grandson, Delton Parrish Gladden, brothers Adrian, Bob and Gary Jordan and sister, Lela Gavin.

Mrs. Hargis is survived by her sons, Billy Carroll Gladden and wife, Jody and Dennis Allen Gladden and wife, Pam. Survivors include her grandchildren, Kim Gladden, Lisa Gladden, Monica Harris, Kelly Griffin, Meghan Amoroso, Jason Herring, Ashley Cruce, Delton Gladden and Cassi Clarke, great grandchildren, Hope Hutchinson, Miranda Straughn, Rachel Hogbin, Kameron Griffin, Madeline Griffin, Zoe Amoroso Steffe, Abby Gladden, Asher Gladden, Remy Clarke, Kendall Herring, Stratton Herring, Grayson Herring, Jake Cruce and Presley, great, great grandchildren, Avery Hutchinson, Nazmae Hutchinson, Brinley Jefcoat, Emma Hogbin and Oliver Steffe, brothers Alvin, Jack Jr and Dan Jordan and sister Shelby Funderburg and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jewell loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, her family, she was a wonderful mother and loved raising her children. She was employed by W.J. McKiever and later, the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020, in Union Ridge Cemetery at 4:00 p.m., with Bro. David Jacks officiating. Please visit www.stephensondearman.com for more information and to sign the online guestbook.
