Deborah "Debbie" Calhoun, age 63 of Monticello, passed away June 16, 2020, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was born September 3, 1956, in Monticello, AR to the late Havis Clay and Vanita Douglas Calhoun.
She was a 1974 graduate of Drew Central High School before graduating from Pine Bluff Vocational Technical School receiving her L.P.N. degree. She retired from nursing after 32 years of service, having worked for Dr. A.K. Busby and Drew Memorial Hospital where most of her work was done in various areas. Debbie described herself as a disabled nurse who loves southern cooking, southern ways, cats and reading, but she loved her Jesus much more. She also loved her family very much, especially her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn McKeown; and two brothers, Woodford Calhoun and Bobby Calhoun.
She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Henry and husband Paul of Greenville, MS and Shelley Calhoun Barnes and husband Milford of Monticello; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, which she loved dearly.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020, in Campground Cemetery with Rev. Ray Hearron officiating. Please follow COVID-19 protocol and practice social distancing while in the cemetery. Sign the online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
