He was retired from Burlington Industries, owner/operator of a lawn service, United States Navy Veteran and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Luella Hammock Skomp.
Survivors include five sons, Carl Myler and Jerry Dale Myler both of IN, Charles Skomp, Steven Skomp, and Charlie Hammock and wife Becky all of Monticello; one daughter, Betty Pymn and husband Brian of Monticello; one brother, Charlie Skomp of FL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
