I did not learn of the death of Mrs. Henry in time to attend the funeral, but my thoughts & prayers are with the family & friends. She was a beautiful person & a good teacher. Because of her, I pride myself on being able to properly fold a fitted sheet as well as a flat one & to core a head of lettuce & cut it up without it "rusting" (you use a plastic knife). So many everyday skills she taught us that I now take for granted. She was an important part of the teenage years of so many of us young ladies. She will be fondly remembered by us all.

Sweet Genella I will miss your hugs at church. Once you hug Genella, you know you have been hugged good. She taught me how to sew and I’ve been sewing ever since. She also taught me how to cook, but that didn’t really stay with me. She also taught her students how to be ladies with manners. Most importantly she was the best example of a Christian woman. I know her family misses her, but they also know she left her body behind and was immediately with her Lord. She had not sang in our church choir in many years and I can still hear her lovely voice. I pray God’s comfort to the family.
