She was the widow of Jerry Crook, a retired waitress, Avon lady, beautician and Monticello Schools Lunchroom employee, and was of the Baptist faith. Faye was raised in the Presbyterian Home and was very proud of that. While she was there, her job was a kitchen worker where she developed into a wonderful cook.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Crook Carpenter; two sisters, Holly Scott Ashley and Linda Scott Gilbert; a brother, Mack Scott; two sisters-in-law, Edith Crook Hayes and Charlene Crook Waymire; and a brother-in-law, Henry Crook and wife Oledia.
Survivors include one son, Terry L. Crook and wife Martha of Monticello; two grandsons, Jerry R. Cater and Alex Crook; one granddaughter, Amanda Cater Meier; two brothers, Scott Manatt and Ray Graves; one sister, Lynn Graves; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ryan Watson officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.
