He was a retired truck driver and a member of Faith Pentecostal Church of God. He was the son of the late Harell Penick and Inez Jeffers. Harold had two sayings, "Don't pick up no wooden nickels" and "Don't work too hard".
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lucille Penick of McGehee; two sons, Douglas Wayne Penick and wife, Angela and David Lewis Penick and wife, Lucinda both of McGehee; one brother, Jerry Penick of Lake Village; two half-brothers, Billy Ray Hill of Grady and James Curtis; one sister, Ruthie Wright of Bastrop, LA; four half-sisters, Shirley McClure of Monticello, Dutch Holder, Eula Mae Penick and Rita Penick, all of Pine Bluff; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
