Survivors include his mother, Tamara Abresch Strong of Monticello; his father, David Butts and step-mother, Shelley Butts of Kokomo, Indiana; one brother, Kyle Strong of Ft. Eustis, VA; one step-brother, Shane Pell of Kokomo, Indiana; five step-sisters, Shawnee Butts and Jessee Butts, both of Ohio, Shelby Collins, Carly Pell and Victoria Pell, all of Kokomo, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Kokomo, IN Thursday, January 3, 2013 Well Tami there isnt nothing i can say to help you recover from this loss. Just that im sooo sad for your loss and everybody's loss (including mine). I can tell you i will always miss the LIL DUDE!!! An he will always be in everybody's heart (cause hes got it like that!!). I am glad he was put in my life!!! I could always tell him secrets an he wouldnt tell no one. He would hide stuff for me an not tell are hiding spots. :) He was there for me when i was sad an crying. He always got my jokes. He would always put up with me an entertain me. I remember when we put him on the grass in the front yard, an the first sucker i gave him. These are just a few thing that i will keep dear to my heart an attached to Kain for the rest of my life. An nobody has to worry about K-dawg!! Trust me if he isnt running an laughing an having fun when i run into him again. Im going to head butt him as always R.I.P.
