He was disabled and was a member of United Pentecostal Church. He was the son of the late George Roy Temple, Sr. and Betty Bell Estridge Parker and was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Temple; one brother, George Roy Temple, Jr. and one sister, Geneva Sutherland.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Lewis Temple of Michigan and Larry Temple of Monticello; two grandsons, Tommy and Joseph Temple; three great grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, Victoria; aunt, Betty Jean Hicks of Grand Prairie, TX; niece and caregiver, Julie Ann Grogg of Monticello.
