She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Exall Wells; three sons Ben, Thomas and Aubrey Wells; two sisters Ophra Coddington and Marie Russell and one granddaughter, Anita Kay Ford Hense.
Survivors include one son, Clarence Wells and wife Lily of Monticello; one daughter, Violet Roxie Ford and husband Floyd of Milo, AR; one sister, Flora Dickey of Monticello; three grandchildren, Kendall Wells, Lisa Ann Ramsey, Kristen Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Valerie Ramsey and James Ray Hense and other relatives and friends.

Ms Joan would give me reports on how mom was doing or how she had made it during the night. Mom has dementia. I thank God for putting Ms. Joan in our lives. She was truly a blessing and a witness.
