Doyle Harvey Evans, 86, of Monticello, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at his home. He was born January 24, 1927 in Warren, AR.

He was a retired Georgia Pacific millworker, a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II and was of the Free Will Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Johnson P. Evans and Dovie M. Mills Evans and was also preceded in death by two brothers, J. P. Evans and Dewey Evans. Doyle loved to garden and was a life member of the VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Charlsie A. Knobloch Evans of Monticello; one daughter, Mary Diane Evans of Eureka, CA; three step-sons, Greg Bodiford and wife, Judy and Robert Bodiford, both of Monticello and Randy Ellis and wife, Dana of Benton; two step-daughters, Kathy McDill of Dermott and Debra Thompson and husband, Billy of Monticello; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
