He was a retired heavy equipment operator, an avid fisherman and loved to sing and whistle. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Newt Faulkner.
Survivors include his wife, Alice McGough Faulkner of Monticello; four sons, Glen Allen Faulkner and James Oscar Faulkner both of Jal, NM, Joe F. Faulkner, III of Monticello and Patrick Faulkner of Kentucky; two daughters, Loretta Hernandez of Eunice, NM and Laura Bailey of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, James Faulkner of Washington State, Leon Faulkner and Bruce Faulkner both of Monticello; two sisters, Mary Ellen Venable and Shirley Temple Moreland, both of Monticello; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, five step-children and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
