Mrs. Sadie Mae Brown was born to bless the union of Mrs. Minnie Mae Butler-Griffin and Mr. Howard Griffin on May 11, 1932 in Bolton, Mississippi.

In 1953, she wed the love of her life, Mr. Marvis Brown. To this union, eleven children were born.

Sadie was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother who had a strong belief in Faith and Christ, her light shined brightest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of strength and love whose protective nature for her family could be seen by many. She also had the caring nature to take in any in need of shelter or to offer a helping hand. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvis Brown and two sons, Alvin "Bubba" Brown and Terry Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five sons, Marvin "Ricky" Brown, Johnny Ray Brown, Arthur Brown (Yolunder), all of Wilmar, AR, Leroy Brown (Leasola) of Dermott, AR and Willie Brown of Monticello, AR; four daughters, Sarah Haynie (John) and Deborah Block, both of Wilmar, AR, Shelia Proctor (Mark) of Pine Bluff, AR and Ruby Brown of Milwaukee, WI. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
