He retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company after 38 years of service, worked for the Monticello Fire Dept. for 20 years and was Assistant Chief when he retired. Bobby was a member of Second Baptist Church where he was a member of the Leonard Polk Sunday School Class and served on various committees of the church. He was also a charter member of the Jose Chapel Hunting Club where he served as President.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elna Cater Allen of Monticello; one son, Robert Fred Allen of Monticello; one daughter, Lena Ann Allen Kelley and husband Rodney of Monticello; one grandson Christopher Charles Kelley of Monticello, AR two brothers, Otis Allen of Monticello and Lee Edward Allen of Crossett; one sister, Mae Sawyer of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, December 20 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Andrews Chapel. Visitation will from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
