Granny was born September 21, 1927 in Laport, IN to the late George Disbrow and Amanda Seitz Disbrow. She was the second of three children and was preceded in death by two husbands, Julius DeMunck and Ralph Heavner; two children, Donald DeMunck and Jackie Heavner.; one brother, Richard Disbrow; one sister, Luella Disbrow.
Granny professed her life to Christ at an early age and loved working and serving in her church; she always enjoyed helping others. She loved reading her Bible, and praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She is known for her humorous personality and gentle spirit. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her."
Survivors include one daughter Sharon Lee and husband James of Monticello; one son, Ronald Heavner and wife Kathryn of Monticello; a daughter-in-law, Pat DeMunck of Edwardsburg, Michgan, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Bud Banks and Pastor Kenny Martin on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM at First Assembly of God Church in Monticello. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
