He was a member of Bethel AME Church in Fountain Hill and was a logger. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, George C. Youngblood and Horace Daniel.
He leaves to cherish his memoires one son, Elvin Daniel, Jr. of South Carolina; two brothers, Leon Youngblood (Kay) of Lacy and John Daniel of Hamburg; one sister, Dorothy L. Daniels and a host of nieces and nephews.
